Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Occur, an event discovery, ticketing, and reservation platform operated by Mustard HQ("we", "us", or "our"). By creating an account, purchasing a ticket, or publishing an event, you agree to these Terms.

Occur connects event creators with attendees. Creators can publish events, sell paid or free tickets, manage attendees, send announcements, and process check-ins. Attendees can browse events, register, pay via Paystack, and access tickets from their account.

We may update features, fees, or availability at any time. Material changes will be reflected on this page or communicated where appropriate.

You must provide accurate information when registering. You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately at hello@occur.ng if you suspect unauthorized access.

• You are solely responsible for your event details, pricing, capacity, refund policy, and compliance with applicable laws.
• Paid events require a valid Paystack subaccount setup for payouts. Settlement timing follows Paystack's rules.
• You must honour valid tickets and your stated refund policy. Cancelling an event may trigger refunds to attendees as configured in the product.
• You grant Occur a licence to display event content (title, description, images) for promotion and operation of the platform.

• Prices are shown in Nigerian Naira (NGN). A service fee may apply; see our Pricing page.
• Payment is processed by Paystack. Completing checkout constitutes a binding purchase subject to the event creator's policies.
• Tickets are digital. You must present a valid ticket (including QR code where provided) for entry. Misuse, duplication, or resale in violation of event rules may result in refusal of entry or cancellation.
• Free registrations are subject to the same capacity and check-in rules as paid tickets.

Occur charges a platform service fee on paid tickets (currently 5% per ticket, capped at ₦30,000 per ticket). Creators may absorb this fee or pass it on to attendees at checkout. Paystack processing and settlement fees may also apply. Details are on the Pricing page.

Refund eligibility is determined by the event creator's refund policy and the circumstances of cancellation. Where a refund is approved, processing is handled through Paystack and may take several business days. Occur is not responsible for bank or payment-provider delays.

You agree not to:

• Use Occur for fraudulent, illegal, or harmful events or transactions.
• Circumvent fees, inventory limits, or security controls.
• Scrape, reverse engineer, or overload the platform without permission.
• Harass other users or upload unlawful, infringing, or misleading content.

Occur's brand, software, and design are owned by Mustard HQ or its licensors. Event content remains the property of creators. You may not use our trademarks without written consent.

Occur is provided "as is". We do not guarantee uninterrupted service, specific event quality, or third-party payment uptime. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Mustard HQ shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of Occur, any event, or payment processing. Our aggregate liability for any claim relating to the service shall not exceed the fees you paid to Occur in the twelve months before the claim.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in Nigeria, unless otherwise required by mandatory consumer protection law.
